A fast-acting liquid lawn feed that lasts longer
Most liquid lawn feeds generally last between 2 to 4 weeks. This liquid fertiliser for lawns will last 4 to 6 weeks in most cases.
Liquid lawn feeds are a useful way to give a rapid fast-acting Green up.
Our Nitrogen boost 24-0-0 liquid feed will cover 100 to 120 square metres.
(10% discount when you order more than one + free postage)
Simply mix 4ml to 10ml of Nitrogen boost into 30 to 50ml of water per square metre(this is the minimum amount of water needed – you can of course add much more water to cover your entire lawn, the main point is to ensure the right amount of product is applied evenly across your lawn).
DOSAGE:
- 4ml to 10ml covers 1 sq metre. (add a minimum of 30 to 50ml of water)
- 40ml to 100ml covers 10 sq metres. (add a minimum of 300 to 500ml of water)
- 400ml to 1000ml covers 100 sq metre. (add a minimum of 3000 to 5000ml of water)
How to apply:
If you are confused, allow me to help.
- You will need a sprayer or a watering can with either a fine rose, or a sprinkler bar(here on Amazon).
- Start off by filling your sprayer or watering can with 1 litre of test water (ordinary tap water, or from a water butt).
- Walk along your driveway on a dry day and see how many square metres 1 litre of the test water 1 covers.
- So I suggest you measure out a length of perhaps 5 or 10 metres and walk from one end to the other.
- Then walk back up alongside it, and repeat this until the 1 litre of test water has been used.
Example 1:
Lets say you managed to cover 10 square metres of your drive (with the 1 litre of test water).
If your lawn is 100 square metres, you would need 100 divided by 10 = 10 litres of water.
If your lawn is for example 50 square metres, you would need 50 divided by 10 = 5 litres of water
Example 2:
Lets say your managed to cover 18 square metres of your drive (with the 1 litre of test water).
If your lawn is 100 square metres, you would need 100 divided by 18 = 5.5 litres of water.
If your lawn is for example 50 square metres, you would need 50 divided by 18 = 2.7 litres of water
If you are still unsure:
A full bottle will cover 100 to 150 square metres…
Half a bottle will cover 50 to 75 square metres…
You can simply use the amount you need BUT you will need enough water to be able to apply over your whole lawn.
If you want to do it this way, fill your sprayer or watering can with sprinkler bar with 1 litre of water.
Water your lawn at a walking pace. Keep filling with 1 litre of water, and keep walking across the lawn until you’ve
watered the whole lawn.
If, for example you had to use say 8 litres of water, thats fine… then use 8 litres of water with the right amount of product for your sized lawn.
You can actually DOUBLE UP the amount of water needed with half the amount of product. If you do this, then walk across the lawn TWICE, each time with half the dose, and this way the full dose will have been applied, but over 2 passes of the lawn.
NOTES:
Please only apply to a lawn if you will water it. Much like the body needs blood to move nutrients around the body, a lawn needs water to move the fertiliser to where it’s needed around the roots.
Keep well away from any aquatics. Aquatic life are very sensitive to many things. Usually it’s best to leave some space between the fish pond and the area being treated. 1 metre is usually sufficient, to avoid any products running down and into the water
Avoid applying on a windy day or when heavy rain is expected. – Wind can carry sprays further than expected. Heavy rain can cause products to be washed away.
Our liquid fertiliser for lawns is the ideal companion to have when you need to get an improved Green up quickly. All you need to do is water it in, and ensure you continue to water your lawns through hot periods.
